Dr Molly Murn is a South Australian poet, author. She holds a Bachelor of Dance, a Master of Creative Arts, and a PhD in Creative Writing. Molly is also the manager of Matilda Bookshop in the Adelaide Hills, and is a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Her debut novel, Heart of the Grass Tree, was published in 2019 with Penguin Random House (Vintage) and was shortlisted for the Debut Fiction Indie Book Awards 2020, and the MUD literary Prize for best new fiction. She is writing a second novel, Radiance, and has recently been awarded and ArtsSA grant, Varuna Residency Fellowship, and Barbara Hanrahan Fellowship to continue work on this project. Molly’s poetry has appeared in various places, such as Overland, Transnational Literature and Social Alternatives. She lives/works/creates on Peramangk country in the Adelaide Hills. Molly loves wild places, deserts, yoga, reading svelte novels, and dancing barefoot.
